ARRIVAL INFO
The show takes place at the legendary Jewel’s Catch One in Koreatown - 4067 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90019.
There are plenty of paid parking lots in the neighborhood as well as Catch One’s paid parking lot attached to the venue. There is also as ample metered street parking.
We recommend arriving 1 hour before scheduled start time to get in line, grab a drink, take some photos on the red carpet and meet some of the funky characters of the night.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We can’t wait to see you in your finest threads. Dudes, let’s see some pumps! Foxy mamas, think feathers and fringe!. Everyone is welcome, just make sure that you can get your groove on no matter what you wear. If you need some inspiration, you can check out the official BRD fashion collage here.

CAN I USE MY PHONE DURING THE EXPERIENCE TO TAKE PHOTOS AND TEXT MY FUNKY CREW?
There are no cellphones in 1974, but we will have photographers on site to capture pictures of you and all your friends! We will be asking everyone to put their phones into non-locking blackout bags upon entering the venue. However, if you need to use your phone, you can step outside into Transformation Station at any time to re-enter 2026 and use your devices.
WHAT’S THE LOWDOWN ON THE AFTERPARTY?
Sweat LA, the official Brassroots District LA ‘74 afterparty is a vinyl spinning, funk/soul dance party. It begins on site as soon as the late show finishes (around 11pm nightly). All ticket holders to LA ‘74 get guaranteed admission. Early show attendees are welcome to return for Sweat LA.

Brassroots District LA ‘74 an immersive concert experience that transports audiences to the heyday of LA’s legendary funk music scene. While a bangin’ 9-piece funk band plays a full concert live on stage, a story unfolds throughout the venue, pulling audience members to the very center of the action.

The performance will be held indoors.

The experience will last 90 minutes.

There is a full bar. No food is available.

Just like you interact with people at a concert, you may meet characters throughout the night like the musicians, the band’s manager, a record label exec or other fixtures of the club. But if you just want to hang back and listen to the music, that’s all groovy, man.

We recommend arriving 30 minutes before scheduled start time to get in line, grab a drink, take some photos on the red carpet and meet some of the funky characters of the night.

Late arrivals will be permitted, but you’ll miss a lot of the action if you arrive late!

Yes, there is full concert lighting.

We expect you to be busting a groove out on the dance floor. It is a funk concert after all. Booths are provided for all VIP ticket holders.
